Many birth control pills have been around for many years and have had very few side effects.  In fact, many of these birth controls are considered to be safe.  However, in recent years, in an effort to generate new streams of revenue, pharmaceutical companies have been developing new birth control methods in an attempt to boost profits.  In particular, the products Nuvaring and Yaz, Yasmine, and Ocella birth control products have been developed.  Unfortunately, the pharmaceutical companies that develop these birth control products did not sufficiently warn women using these products that they have a higher risk of blood clot formation than the birth control products that have been on the market for many years.  As a result, many women take these products and do not realize that the blood clots they have suffered are the result of taking these birth control pills.

At David Grebel Law, we are committed to investigating any incident in which a woman was on birth control and suffered from a blood clot, a pulmonary embolism, or a DVT.  In situations where a woman has suffered from a blood clot, pulmonary embolism, or DVT, the Onder Law Firm obtains the medical records and has its team of experts review the experts to determine whether or not the blood clot, pulmonary embolism, or DVT was the result of a defective birth control product such as Nuvaring or Yaz, Yasmine, or Ocella.  Even if a woman is not on Nuvaring or Yaz, David Grebel Law is investigating many other birth control pills to determine whether or not they also unnecessarily increase the risk of blood clots in women.  We are committed to investigating these products and making sure that such unsafe products do not stay on the market and harm additional women.

If you or a loved one has suffered from a pulmonary embolism or blood clot and was on a birth control device at the time,  please contact David Grebel Law today at (314) 221-0559.
