DAVID GREBEL OBTAINS LARGE SETTLEMENT IN CASE AGAINST MISSOURI DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

Personal injury attorney David Grebel has recently resolved a claim against the Missouri Department of Transportation for $310,000.00.  In this case, David Grebel’s client drove her car off of the road in St. Charles County when she was trying to avoid a bicyclist on the road.  Her car traveled over 27 feet off of the roadway and struck a tree on the side of the road.

David Grebel made the argument, by using various national highway transportation standards, that this tree was located in the roadway’s “clear zone.”  By being in the “clear zone”, leading personal injury attorney David Grebel successfully argued that the tree should have been cut down and removed from the area.  Using expert witness testimony, personal injury attorney David Grebel was able to show that had the tree been removed, his client would not have struck the tree and would not have sustained serious injuries in the collision.  While she sustained serious injuries in the incident, his client has made a successful recovery and is currently a successful EMT.

If you have sustained injuries that you believe to be the result of a defective roadway or highway design, personal injury attorney David Grebel can speak with you about your options.  Contact him today at (314) 221-0559.
